In settings > app permission, the vertical homescreen app is not shown, therefore user can't change the geolocation permission.

Fred - thanks for the patch. Why do we need the geolocation API in the homescreen exactly? I can't see a reference to it. Thanks...

Does the search box in homescreen not use geolocation? or it's just delegate to system :/ ?

Oh right, the homescreen uses the "Search Results" app for geolocation. The "Collection" app will also request geolocation for smart collections.
