The HTML DXR generates is pretty verbose and takes a long time to download for large source files. Here are some ideas on squishing it:

-  Reuse annotations (i.e., don't store the same annotation for each line)
-  Reuse menus (i.e., don't store the same menu for each occurrence)
- Generate line numbers using http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-content/#counter rather than actually sending them over the wire.
