On boot, there is an extended black screen between the manufacturer logo and the "based on Mozilla Technology" logo.

A theory of why there are extended black screens on boot was suggested to me. Hence, find the cause (with the theory that it is a result of how graphics is currently set up, as a hint) and fix it.
Reducing priority to focus on Vertical home screen startup optimization.
