Build ID: 20140610142618

Steps to reproduce:

ZTE Open (US_EBAY) FFXOS v2.1 2014-07-02 04:39:59

./flash.sh gecko && ./flash.sh gaia
cd /gaia
make reset-gaia
make production

Step through FTU app

Actual results:

On the contacts page, the list is scrolled slightly down, resulting in the Facebook button/line to be clipped slightly.

Expected results:

There is sufficient room on the Open's display for it to not be clipped.

This is a minor appearance bug.
With all the different device screen sizes and display densities we have to support, I don't think we can avoid some slight clipping of the list on some devices. Provided the screen is scrollable - and its clear there is more to see below the fold, I think this is as good as it is going to get. Please re-open if you disagree.

Sam, do you know how UI/UX feels about implying content exists beyond the current screen?

webOS did this with a subtle gradient on the screen border that had more content (so on the top of the screen if you had content above your current viewport, and on the bottom edge of the screen if you had content below your viewport).

This worked out really well honestly.

This is a screenshot of a custom webOS skin I made (so don't take it too literal), but you can get the idea.

I think a content edge indicator like that might be something worth looking into to imply where more content lies.
