See also Bug 1030007 -- Certain attributes on the Camera Control API are prone to being hammered repeatedly (such as `zoom`). Bug 1030007 will put an application-side solution in place, but the Web API should be responsible for ensuring no losses in performance if an application slams on an attribute with potential for a loss in performance.
