Actual results: Browser windows stop responding (turn pale) with this static stack of firefox.exe 32.0.0.5278: wow64cpu.dll!CpupSyscallStub+0x9 wow64cpu.dll!Thunk0ArgReloadState+0x23 wow64.dll!RunCpuSimulation+0xa wow64.dll!Wow64KiUserCallbackDispatcher+0x204 wow64win.dll!whcbfnDWORD+0xe2 ntdll.dll!KiUserCallbackDispatcherContinue wow64win.dll!NtUserMessageCall+0xa wow64win.dll!whNT32NtUserMessageCallCB+0x32 wow64win.dll!Wow64DoMessageThunk+0x8b wow64win.dll!whNtUserMessageCall+0x12e wow64.dll!Wow64SystemServiceEx+0xd7 wow64cpu.dll!TurboDispatchJumpAddressEnd+0x2d wow64.dll!RunCpuSimulation+0xa wow64.dll!Wow64KiUserCallbackDispatcher+0x204 wow64win.dll!whcbfnDWORD+0xe2 ntdll.dll!KiUserCallbackDispatcherContinue wow64win.dll!NtUserPeekMessage+0xa wow64win.dll!whNtUserPeekMessage+0x37 wow64.dll!Wow64SystemServiceEx+0xd7 wow64cpu.dll!TurboDispatchJumpAddressEnd+0x2d wow64.dll!RunCpuSimulation+0xa wow64.dll!Wow64LdrpInitialize+0x42a ntdll.dll!LdrpInitializeProcess+0x17e3 ntdll.dll!??_C@_0BN@KLOBBEB@Enabling?5heap?5debug?5options?6?$AA@FNODOBFM@+0x28ff0 ntdll.dll!LdrInitializeThunk+0xe ntdll.dll!_NtWaitForSingleObject@12+0x15 xul.dll!XPCNativeSet::GetNewOrUsed+0xc5 xul.dll!XPCWrappedNative::InitTearOff+0x25f xul.dll!XPCCallContext::XPCCallContext+0xfe xul.dll!XPC_WN_OnlyIWrite_AddPropertyStub+0x35 ntdll.dll!_RtlNtStatusToDosError@4+0x40 Expected results: Google's Brakepad or somesuch should notice this and automatically report this bug. firefox.exe is hardly using any CPU, RAM, and I/O, so does not need to be auto-killed.
I didn't switch to the advanced form in fear of losing my text.

I'm just guessing it has something to do with the Flash plugins...

This stack appears to be meaningless. Do you have Windows symbols? When you step, does the syscall at the top of the stack *ever* return, or is it completely hung? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/How_to_Report_a_Hung_Firefox may be a better way to get a good hang stack.
