CHALLENGE training sign-up: timed email reminders and our email signup list strategy

A user <Signs up> for training they should create a wm.org account (which they can then use in Discourse). They should become a wm.org emails user

The user goes to training site and completes CTAs, but wm.org continues to remind users and send timed emails

Challenges:
We need help with the flow. We need multiple flows for multiple "courses", whereas events only needs one.
Is webmaker mailroom a solution? How does it work?

I saw the email drip work when catching up with yesterdays Now call, and am hoping to get this bug moved up in priority. With Net Neutrality and in the drips we're pushing for training signups, but we don't have the list stuff solved...
