Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Visit a page of your choice (eg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page). <<make sure it's not already bookmarked>> 3. Right click on an empty spot on the page to bring up the context menu. 4. Click on the star icon (Bookmark this page). 5. Observe the bookmark animation. Expected Results: The bookmark animation should be displayed. Actual Results: There is no bookmark animation when the user will bookmark a page from the Context Menu. Notes: Reproducing on Windows 7 64bit, Windows 8.1 32bit, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS X 10.9 using: - latest Nightly, build ID: 20140723030202 - latest Aurora, build ID: 20140723004001 - Firefox 32 beta 1, build ID: 20140722195627 Also reproducing when bookmarking a page from the Bookmarks menu and when using the shortcut key (eg. "Ctrl+D" on Windows).

Personally I don't think it should be animated, it would be distracting. the current animation happens when you click on the star, and you are already looking at it. There's no much point in doing that also for the keyboard shortcut or the context menu since it would attract your attention to something that was not in your workflow. Btw, leaving this to UX.

The "Edit This Bookmark" panel automatically shows in these instances, so this area is already focused. I think it might make sense to do the animation any time a site is bookmarked and the panel shows at the same time.
