Details

Typing a character over highlighted value in
input type="text" with size and maxlength of the same number, 
a character will not appear until next characters typed in.

No URL.
Tried several variations on the theme suggested by the reporter and they all
work for me using 2002021412 Linux. Without a URL or solid testcase this can't
really be persued further. Reporter, re-open and provide a proper testcase if
you can still reproduce this in a recent Mozilla build.
