Reproducible on Firefox 32 Beta 5 (buildID: 20140807212602)
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0
Reproducible on latest Aurora 33.0a2 (buildID: 20140808004001)
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
Reproducible on latest Nightly 34.0a1 (buildID: 20140808030201)
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox.
2. Open a PDF file (e.g. http://cp.literature.agilent.com/litweb/pdf/5989-8139EN.pdf).
3. Press on the printer icon or press "Cmd+P".
4. Select "Save as PDF..." option and save the document on your computer.
5. Select "Save as PostSript" option and save the document on your computer.
6. Minimize the Firefox window.

Actual results:
After step 4, the document is saved, but after few seconds an error occurs: "Print Preview Error: An error occurred while printing". After you reopen the Firefox window, this is blank.
After step 5, the document is not saved at all and after few seconds an error occurs: "Print Preview Error: An error occurred while printing". After you reopen the Firefox window, this is blank.
Please see screenshot "issue.png".

Expected results: The document is correctly saved and no error occurs.

Notes: The issue isn't reproduce on Firefox 31RC. I will investigate for regression range and I will put the results as soon as possible.
On Windows 8 x32 with Firefox 32 beta 5 and the pdf sample from comment 0 step 2, when Print to file option (Ctrl+P and mark Print to file checkbox) is selected, the file cannot be saved: while clicking on the Save button, nothing happens. When Cancel is selected, a window with "An error occurred while printing." message is displayed.
Here is the regression range, but I'm not sure if this is the correct one because the bug is intermittently.

Let's keep "regression-window", we would need to know the exact commit that caused the issue.

Is this still an issue?

I've tested on Mac OSX 10.9.5 using latest Nightly 44.0a1 (buildID: 20151013030225) and I wasn't able to reproduce the issue anymore.

I've tested on Windows 7 64bit using Firefox 41.0.2 (buildID: 20151013193107) and I don't see the issue here.

I've tested on Windows 7 64bit using latest Nightly 44.0a1 (buildID: 20151013030225) and I have the following issue (similar to comment #1): when Print to file option (Ctrl+P and mark Print to file checkbox) is selected, the file cannot be saved: - while clicking on the Save button, the "Could not open the file: Access is denied" error occurs.
                                                - when Cancel is selected, a window with "An error occurred while printing." message is displayed.

That sounds like bug 1156742 to me. Closing this as worksforme based on that assumption.
