Hey Hannah,

No need to file a bug to implement, just cc'ing me here works. Once I get the assets (icon and copy), I can go ahead and launch it. 

In terms of allocation - it depends on when the gear store is launching - if it's in September most likely 50%.

Can you provide a bit more detail on requirements:

Will this need a static icon (.png or .svg?), animated icon (.gif) or both ?

(also, for previous snippet icons it had to be under 100 KB in size - so I assume it is the same here)
The icon should be animated, similar to past icons. However, it's probably good to just have it animate 1x, vs. constantly looping. I like the little bag that's in the new logo, maybe it could jiggle?

So looks like we aren't supposed to use the word "swag" -- and we're now not offering a limited edition T-shirt (we're offering a limited edition poster instead). Here's what I'd suggest as final:

"Visit Mozilla's NEW official gear store! Get the latest and foxiest Firefox and Mozilla logo T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, and more. "

But I am totally using "what does the fox wear?" for the community email. stellar.

I like all Sabrina's icons but the t-shirt and bag one is my fav.
Oh darn, just saw in Bug 1051015 that we can't use the word "store".

Revised copy:

"Official Mozilla gear is now available! Get the foxiest Mozilla and Firefox t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, and more. "
Minor tweaks, what about this:

"NEW Official Mozilla gear is now available! Get the foxiest Mozilla and Firefox t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, and more at gear.mozilla.org."

That way the URL is highlighted (that's what's brand new, the online presence + some new designs).

I love the animated bag and T-shirt!

Sabrina what about coming up with 2 more iterations that feature a different item coming out of the bag?

I'd suggest this, one of the new hat designs:
