We could add support for PV and HVM (using different AMIs), what would require:

* creating and testing HVM AMI for Ubuntu
* generate golden AMIs for both types
* add support for both AMI types in aws_watch_pending.py

We can create instances using "-c cloud-tools/configs/tst-linux64-hvm" in https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReleaseEngineering/How_To/Loan_a_Slave#Test_machines

I haven't tested 32-bit AMI generation.
