Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2062.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Joining a Webinar which only says "PDT" - but not which city that seminar is in.

Actual results:

I guess PDT is e.g. Los Angeles - right?
I hope so, otherwise I will perhaps miss the seminar.

Expected results:

Please show the timezones in this way:

Europe/Berlin (CEST)
America/LosAngeles (PDT)
... etc.

Thanks!
That's a good idea :) Any news on this suggestion?
Another idea would be to create timezone with these specific names: CEST, PDT, EAT, ...

Going to bump this request. Thunderbird's list of cities is insanely spastic and illogical. It has Vevay, Illinois in the list, a town with a population, according to Wikipedia, of only 1,652, and a total area of only 1.5 sq miles. And yet somehow it lacks Atlanta, the capital of one of the states and the 9th largest metro area in the country. If you're going to be this arbitrary on the city list, give me the to just select the timezone directly.
