The amount of dropped packets increases with version 31-33 Windows 8 - 8.1 platform combo. Testing Results : *Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3vwLoDSBLQ ff 31, ff 32, and ff 33 (all stop at 30 sec and 57 seconds, it got better after playing for a while) *Spotify required flash, * with it on I did not notice any breaks in media, but as soon as I opened another tab there are dropped sound packets. *Google play also prompted for Flash player and there were no breaks in Fx 32 or 33 after a few songs. [its in the system requirements for Google Music: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2844198?hl=en&ref_topic=3364265 ] Conclusion: Cisco codec is not detected, and neither is shumway, the closest to built in player in version 33. Youtube uses HTML5 player, but others do not is the current work around.
