User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 SeaMonkey/2.29
Build ID: 20140904220358

Steps to reproduce:

After upgrade SM from 2.26 to 2.29 I have mentioned that the "Search Subject or Adress" in the Mail main window is working much more slowly than before.

Actual results:

I have large folders (up to 3GB) and when trying to find something, the process is significantly slower than before n 2.26, I estimate 2-4 times slower.

Expected results:

The speed of searching should be the same as before.
Noticed that as well, also in the most recent 2.29a2 build from back in July, so this has been in there for a while. I first thought that it's a slow-responding IMAP server, but there is high CPU while no network activity, and it also happens for searches in Local Folders.

Seen on both Windows and Linux builds, hence confirming.

TB Bug 1055077 - JSMime header parsing makes quick filter slow (doesn't affect current Thunderbird releases as they are based on 31.x, and this issue was reported for TB 32.0, thus matching SM 2.29).
