I booted up an old WinXP machine that have Firefox 3.6.12 installed and was a bit surprised that when clicking "Check for updates..." it said "There are no updates available."

The browser have the "Update Channel Selector"-addon installed and was set to the "Beta"-channel. Switching to "Default", "ESR" or "Aurora" didn't get an update either, but if switching to "Release" version 3.6.28 was offered.

Shouldn't a newer version have been offered to really old browsers for the other channels? Or is this just a messed up install (possibly caused by the "Update Channel Selector"-addon)?

Using the "Live HTTP headers"-addon it seems that these requests are sent for "beta":

For "release" the urls look like this:

This bug lies at rest in the graveyard.
