Sheeri realized we're backing up large volumes of binary logs. We should purge the logs after each raw backup. I'll own this one.

This has been very successful. We are now down to 1/3 of the daily space we were using, saving over 500G daily.

This was added as part of the start-slave-threads script. It now purges binary logs before resuming the slave operations.
