I was considering writing something similar and came across this little nugget.  Lucky me!  But, it doesn't compile as of 5a802aade42e8dee82340b8b45560ff39103e30e .  Perhaps MOZ_COMPOSITOR_BENCH should always be enabled in DEBUG so dumb compile bustages are caught.
Did that include the fix from bug 1103135? I don't really mind adding it to DEBUG, we just have to be careful people don't start looking at results with #define DEBUG but it should be fine.
