Ioana, thanks for documenting your involvement with the Mozilla Romania community. I have made you the curator for the group - please update the group information here:

https://mozillians.org/group/romania/edit/

I have also merged the groups as you requested.

So, I think there are other people that may be proposed in this function. Such as, me (Raul Malea), Alex Szasz, Alex Lakatos, Cristian Silaghi, Gosu Valentin, Cosmin Tanczel etc. I disagree that the only person to will be proposed, that was elected. Where is the spirit of democracy, meritocracy, freedom and transparency?

l10n??? :)))))))))))))))))))

I support Ioana as the group's curator. For the past year she has been the most dedicated member of our community and she has earned my complete trust. I'm sure she is up for the task.
If anyone else would like to assume this responsibility, I propose we discuss it at the next online moz-ro meeting.
I also support Ioana as the group's curator for all the hard work and contributions she has done in the last years.
I think that from all the Mozilla Romania community members she fits best this role due to her constant contributions, volunteering and community involvement not only in Romania but also in the Balkans.

I second Valentin's suggestion to discuss more thoroughly during an online meeting if anyone else who would like helping into assuming this responsibility.
I support Ioana as the group's cutator.
I support Ioana as the group's curator. She is the most dedicated member of our community.
I just hope that this is a joke.
I dont say i support Ioana or others ... but this should be discussed in our community and yes VOTED. I think William Reynolds has been maybe way to enthusiast by accepting this kind of... proposal.
We shouldnt "support" one person based just on personal arguments. I also think every vote should come with at least one strong argument and the members to CONFIRM those contributions that every candidate lists.
This are the moments that makes our community smaller. :(
I think we are all over reaction on this - Nominating myself as curator is not similar to nominate me as the leader of it.
We will discuss it at the next meeting - and till then I will add the info necessary to the group (links to wiki, website etc.) which is the reason why i've asked this.

Again curator != lead

Second, all the energy invested in this bug should be by far dedicated to other contributing things.

People doing things moves the community forward!
Bumping to resolved - I suggest the group ping pierros & williamr to further discuss this. I don't think this will be solved here.

I'll ask to have this topic added to next week's commtools meeting

To be clear, being a group curator is simply an administrative responsibility to keep a group's settings, content and membership requests updated. It does not imply leadership of a group or community, which was recently suggested in a bug comment. If you want to be the curator of a group, great! If someone else is already the curator, and they are doing a reasonable job, that is okay too. If you see someone is not curating a group well, please file a bug and an administrator like myself will help with those cases.

I think this is a great topic for Mozilla communities to discuss and figure out who should be the curator for their community. The curator does not necessarily need to be a leader in the community.

In cases like this bug, an administrator will review the request and assign a curator if that person has experience with that group. If a different curator is desired, the group should make a request and specify who the new curator should be.

More info in this post and please discuss

William , that`s true, yes it does not implies any leading "attributes". I`m just saying that any decision, even this one, should be discussed in our community first. Trust me when i`m saying that ,this kind of behavior, is not doing any good to our community.

"I think this is a great topic for Mozilla communities to discuss and figure out who should be the curator for their community. The curator does not necessarily need to be a leader in the community."

EXACTLY - this is a topic for Mozilla communities ! in this case our community ! afaik community is formed of at least 2-3 peoples. Am i wrong??
Once again... i`m not having a problem with the person ... i`m having problems with the method used. We should discuss it first in our community , vote... that`s all. This problems should have not reached to William or any other mozillians. It is a Mozilla Romania issue.
And "over reacting" it`s a behavior developed by peoples who think that something is wrong. You can always solve a problem like this very simple: DIALOGUE not MONOLOGUE !
