We need to get the Android NDK [1] installed on jenkins1.qa.scl3.mozilla.com so that we can build Orangutan [2] on that machine to run monkey tests. I'm not able to install it because I don't have privileges to put it in a location that Jenkins can access. I tried using the Custom Tools plugin with Jenkins, which tries to download the NDK when needed, but this failed - I suspect this is because the server cannot connect directly to the download location [4]. Perhaps I should file a NetOps bug to open this up, or should I configure Jenkins to use a proxy? Nevermind, setting http_proxy to http://proxy.dmz.scl3.mozilla.com:3128/ solved it for me!
