User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0
Build ID: 20140924084003

Steps to reproduce:

Open a page which displays included (transparent) GIF image.

Actual results:

On Ubuntu 12.04 the Firefox browser goes bezirk when a page contains the included image.

The CPU load before loading the page: 1%
The CPU load after loading the page: 60%

When the tab containing the page with the image is not visible the load drops again.

Expected results:

The CPU load should not increase substantially.
No particular CPU usage on Mac here...
Component: General → ImageLib
The GIF flickers with FF32 on Win 7, the CPU charge is increased.
