I tried signing into MDN stage with my email [e-mail], I am asked to create a profile. I requested the username williamr (which I use on MDN production) and got the message 'This username is already taken. Please choose another.'

I wonder if I already own that username under a different email address or if someone else owns it.

Email addresses on staging server are sanitized so the username is taken but it's assigned to a testing email address If you want to help us with the beta test I'm happy to either:

1) replace the sanitized email with your email
2) delete the user williamr so you can sign up with your preferred email

Hmmm. When I sign in with [e-mail], I am still asked to create a profile. And my username williamr is claimed, which I expected.

Any suggestions for how I can sign in? Feel free to delete the user williamr too. Thanks!

Option 2 it is. Now it should prompt you to create an account but the username should be free. *crosses fingers*
