Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20140419 Firefox/24.0 PaleMoon/24.5.0 Build ID: 20140419190604 Steps to reproduce: Tried to subscribe to a feed ("Latest builds" in a Hudson installation). Right-clicked on the RSS link and copied the link address: http://hudson.internal/view/myview/rssLatest Pasted it into Thunderbird's subscribe dialog and clicked Add, which started to verify the URL. Actual results: Thunderbird connected to hudson.internal and sent the following (captured by Wireshark): GET http://hudson.internal/view/myview/rssLatest HTTP/1.1 After a long wait, verification failed. Expected results: I believe this is incorrect, it should have been GET /view/myview/rssLatest HTTP/1.1 (which is what curl sent to the host when downloading the above url).
Doesn't look like firefox connects either.

I'm sorry, but WTF? How do you know what my Firefox does? (which connects just fine, BTW)

The link above: http://hudson.internal/view/myview/rssLatest returns a Server Not Found in my firefox (it's absurd to think the reference is to your firefox). Unless you can demonstrate, with an attached screenshot, that the feed url validates successfully here: http://validator.w3.org/feed/ *and* that the validator url is the same as the url entered in Tb, which then results in a Tb error message in the Subscribe dialog or error console, then this bug is to be closed INVALID.
