The text looks very odd when viewed in windows 7, FF and chrome.

However I am looking at this on high res external monitor running parallels on a mac so this may have to do with that specific setup

Can you verify how this looks on a pc just to be sure.

Verified this issue on mac with virtual box, but only for FF. Font rendering is fine for Chrome and IE11. Joren can check on his Win7 machine.

Hope your day is going well. Alina told me to look in the the font rending problem on FF on Windows 7. We grabbed a few people on the team here as well to check it out and do some research online.

We found that it's just the way Firefox renders fonts like Fira in Windows.
We looked Fira on Mozilla's font download page and on Google Fonts on Windows FF and even on those pages the font is jagged. We attached a screenshot of Fira on Google Fonts in FF on Windows below.
We tried to find how Fira rendered on some Mozilla properties like mozilla.com and Firefox OS site on Windows7 FF, but it looks like they're using Open Sans. Maybe they had the same problem with Fira?
We'd like to offer a solution, not sure if it would make a lot of sense, but we could use Open Sans for Windows FF only. What are your thoughts?

I also wanted to mention that we found a font issue for IE7, where some of the characters seem to be missing. We think it's a font issue with Fira and the font designers could probably easily fix that. Let us know what you think, thanks!

Workaround implemented. Marking resolved for this one, since we have another bug to track further solution.
