Instead of introducing an API to the system for querying OOP performance markers, experiment with using logging to submit and retrieve metrics. This will include submitting performance markers and measurements to the log via console.log or dump, and then streaming and parsing logcat to aggregate results.
If we end up going this route, we will close bug 1088123 as WONTFIX.
