From the create an account modal:

>> [ ] I agree to Mozilla Webmaker's Terms and Privacy Policy
>> [ ] Send me email updates about Mozilla Webmaker and other projects

The 'other projects' bit on the end of this is a bit vague. We know what it means, but to new users it might sound more open to general spam than it really is.

As a suggestion, could we move the 'Mozilla' name along so it reads:

"Send me email updates about Webmaker and other Mozilla projects"

I believe the original wording is legalese, so I'm hesitant to change it. Your wording is pretty close though.
I r+ Adam's suggested language. Who should make the final call from a legal perspective?

I'll find someone that can give us the green light and make the changes.

I really doubt we need legal approval for the change from:

change "Send me email updates about Mozilla Webmaker and other projects" to "Send me email updates about Webmaker and other Mozilla projects"
