What about if you use the "Restart with add-ons disabled" item in the Help menu?

If neither of those work, can you navigate Firefox to "about:support", and use the buttons at the top to copy the raw data, and paste it as an attachment to this bug at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=1101609&action=enter ?

If you're in "normal" mode, and disable all those add-ons, and restart, does that make it work? If so, it sounds like an add-on related problem. If not, it might be a Firefox issue with accelerated graphics...

You can turn it off in Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available.

(it'll need a Firefox restart)

Please let us know if this helps - but ideally this should still work, accelerated or not.

If it does help, you could also try updating the video drivers for the different graphics cards in your machine.

Another question: do you hear audio when the video is broken? Do other videos work (e.g. youtube, or the video that loads on about:home if you wait a bit?

Milan, does this ring bells? At least on OS X, this website uses flash, so I'm a little surprised this would be affected by safe mode...

There is no sound streaming out of the foxnews.com.

The absence of sound suggests maybe there is more than graphics, but the disabling of acceleration fixing things does point to graphics.  The driver is bit on the old side, probably worth updating it.

Confused by the last comment.
the very first request was to start firefox in safemode, disabling all addons, the result of which was the streams resuming from foxnews.com.
This would seem to rule out graphic drivers. 
Nevertheless i went and updated both the Intel graphics and the NVIDA graphics drivers  344.75. Still no success.

Thanks for updating the drivers, and sorry for not giving the details in the comment 8.  When you go in the safe mode, the hardware acceleration is disabled, and the graphics drivers are irrelevant, so to speak. But you updating them does rule that out, so that's good info.

Yes, I meant, what happens if you turn it *off* ? That is part of what safe mode does, and if the add-ons aren't the thing that made it work, that sounds like it might be part of the issue. There are some other things that "restart with add-ons disabled" does which might be affecting this, but I'd like to check for Graphics first. As Milan said, if the driver update didn't help, it's somewhat unlikely - but still worth checking for...

For the record of this bug,
Please note that usual remedies to unimpede Flash streaming have have failed.
Typically created an exception in ABP and Ghostery would permit ad-loaded stream to tun.
Also allowing cookies for a domain would sometimes resolve interrupted streams.
None of these has worked.

I am using Vista 64bit and Shumway hangs on multiple sites but always on foxnews.com. If I disable Shumway, then Adobe flash will load the same videos with no problems.
