RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 93547

Details

I tried the following on Linux.
I suggest to configure the browser to use a blank homepage.

Run "top" in Linux, type "M" to sort by memory usage.

Start Mozilla.
Say File/New Navigator window.
Repeat that several times, watch at the memory usage after opening each new window.

In my optimized build, with every new window opened, about 1.5 megabytes are
allocated in addition.

Now close all navigator windows but one.

Expected result: Most allocated memory should have been freed.
Actual result: Memory usage stays very close to the allocated maximum.
I think this is a dupe of bug 93547: Memory leak after opening multiple browser
windows.
Marking.
