From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011116 BuildID: 2001111608 The list of supported MIME types for a plugin is upside-down if we compare with Nav 4.x The problem is that there are some pages that have JavaScript for checking plugin version by looking at a specific MIMEType entry. (See obove URL) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Navigator 4.x and go to about:plugins URL 2. Do the same in Mozilla 3. Look for any plugin with more than one MIME type 4. Compare the MIME type list order in both browsers Actual Results: The MIME type list is upside-down in Mozilla Expected Results: The list sort order should be the same

This is true for all platforms. Marking as such. We need to decide how big the problem is and most of all: is this really a problem? Does any doc say anything about the order of returned mimetypes? If it is not guaranteed the JavaScript should probably enumerate all looking for a specific mimetype, not just reading first.

Andrei, This bug seems to be a only minor inconvenience. The page I mention works fine, but (incorrectly) recommends me to upgrade the plugin version. I will not object if you close this bug as "future", "invalid", "wontfix" or "evangelism"

This issue is so minor that it's properly never gonna be fixed... No sites has been reported to no work due to this.
