Details

(Keywords: regression, Whiteboard: [regression:TB31.3.0])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0
Build ID: 20141125031119

Steps to reproduce:

This behavior was reproduced on 30 other stations within the company all of which had version 31.3.0.

I verified the issue was with this version of Thunderbird by taking out the certificates and passwords within the client. Then reestablishing the certificate and passwords but still not receiving email. I then decided to retract to version 24.4.0 which fixed the issue, all be it hopefully only temporary.

I currently pushed out version 24.4.0 to the entire company and the issue has been fixed. The issue is isolated to Thunderbird version 31.3.0 Secure POP. Keep in mind that it worked with secure IMAP, and no security.

Problem > 31.3.0 > Secure POP

Actual results:

When attempting to retrieve email Thunderbird would report "Connected to" and the message would remain without any email actually downloading.
Maybe it used SSL 3.0 which is now disabled starting with the 31.3.0 release?
