Crash Data
This bug was filed from the Socorro interface and is report bp-9c156efd-0908-4a4e-8253-028c52141211. ============================================================= I hit this same crash stack trace at least daily when my Mac is idling or hibernating on irccloud.com. When I return to the tab, I see a notification that Flash crashed and the crash reports in about:crashes usually point to this same stack trace. I am running Flash 16.0.0.235 on OS X 10.10.1 (Yosemite) and Nightly 37 with e10s. I saw similar Flash crashes on irccloud.com before I updated to Flash 16.0.0.235, but now I see the crashes more frequently, 1–3 crashes per day.

I'm also crashing with Flash, frequently (every 2/3 days) on Firefox35 beta on MacOSX 10.9.5: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-6bf849d5-1bcd-4c17-ac38-0df0b2150101 Shockwave Flash Version: 16.0.0.235 It seems to happen on random site with Flash.

This Flash crash has spiked for me again. I have hit it nine times in the last two days. I'm using Flash Player 17.0.0.169. b7458cf3-c190-4988-9cb9-9a15d2150419 829e3d77-9337-4829-8449-38b302150419 f182524f-72fe-46d1-958e-ad83c2150419 0f013a71-6464-42c8-9e52-4efdc2150419 570c0531-448e-4cbb-8167-98ced2150417 6dbe55b7-d5fd-46db-b168-1e4b42150417 38f88427-52a9-43d2-b7c6-6b42d2150417 ca6eaf21-51c6-4bc8-97da-e09292150417 7169628b-9d89-44e4-9f58-d41b32150417

I filed this irccloud crash a few months ago but then the problem "went away". It just came back when I migrated from my personal irccloud account to a new irccloud.mozilla.com account. I think I disabled the Flash alert sounds in my personal account settings but forgot to in my new Mozilla account, which might explain why I see the crashes again after a long lull. I have disabled Flash alert sounds again and will watch if the crashes subside.

I have not seen this particular Flash crash since I disbaled irccloud's Flash alert sounds two days ago. I have seen two other Flash crashes that seem unrelated: bp-e45eb304-5de3-4bcc-8a03-d52462150421 bp-5cfa5f0d-8791-4283-867e-a2f7d2150422

I just hit this stack and found this bug: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/0ef3f155-c57d-4c66-8375-139582150428 Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0, and I'm also using the IRC Cloud notifier via Flash :-(

I hit this Flash crash again. It is definitely triggered by IRC Cloud's Flash notifications (among other things, apparently). I witnessed this Flash crash just seconds before I received a private message on IRC Cloud. bp-e75f2671-5a38-4265-a6a4-4de352150529

Oh, sorry. I filed this back in April and didn't tell you guys about it. It's ADBE 3968991. Looks like we landed a fix in mainline last week, and it should ship in the next release (we're busy with the endgame for our current release). A fix should land in our betas in the next couple weeks.

It looks like this is resolved in current Flash versions. I still see traffic from the signature, but when I facet on version, it's people running significantly outdated versions. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?product=Firefox&signature=~F666845892___________________________&_facets=signature&_facets=plugin_version&_columns=date&_columns=signature&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform#facet-plugin_version I'm going to close this as fixed on our side, unless there are any objections.

I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
