There are various intermittents that currently break with these. I wonder how many will go away. Boris says here:

that this is an anti-pattern, so I think we should remove them. We will need to search bugzilla for the tests that currently (intermittently) hit them, and update the summaries there to account for the fact that those tests might now start failing with actual timeouts when we land this.
