User clicked to share on Twitter, and the Tweet count remains zero after a hard refresh [and same display on multiple browsers].

Hi Rebecca- Do you think one needs to be fixed? Is the use case (hard refresh after opening Twitter share) frequent enough? Thx, Jen

The count does not increase, no matter what you do. So if it's important for it to work, then yes it should be fixed. Unless there's a cron job or something that forces the numbers? The other stats updated dynamically.

Hm, after looking in to this, it seems the Twitter button only reacts to/acknowledges the final/production URL. If you click the Twitter button on demo2, the content of the Tweet in the popup is: "Firefox Hello — Free, easy video conversations https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/hello/ via @firefox" Notice the URL is not pointing to demo2 but to the eventual production URL. For comparison, check out the desktop tips page on prod and demo2: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/tips/ https://www-demo2.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/tips/ The Twitter count on demo2 matches that of production, not because they happen to be the same, but because demo2 is pulling in the count for production. I believe this is working correctly for production, but is a bit confusing on demo/staging servers.

That's entirely possible, likely even. Unfortunately it means we won't know for sure until it's pushed.

I think we can be *pretty* sure it's working, as the share widget on /firefox/hello/ is the same as is used on many pages, including /firefox/desktop/tips/ (it's an include we just pull into the page). It would be more reassuring if we could test prior to going live though.
