Details
Steps: 1. Goto lycos.com 2. click on mylycos icon in the upper right 3. click on login about 2-3 inches from the top of page 4. Get message saying could not set user cookie Notes: 1. Cookies are being accepted from some other sites 2. "Accept all cookies" preference is turned on. 3. Others have had problems with cookies also thx, kevin

Looks like this is may be a lycos problem. Under version 4.5, lycos attempts to set a cookie and then tests to see if the cookie was indeed set. Under 5.0, lycos does not even attempt to set a cookie. It could be that they are testing for the browser version, and not continuing if it is not a browser they are already familiar with. But that's just a guess at this point.

BTW, comments like "others have had problems with cookies also" doesn't help us. If you have other examples, then please cite them.

cookies work, but posting does not work, so your best bet for now is to copy over your cookies file from 4.x if you want to use those cookies. I will find the posting bug and mark this as a dup of that.
