Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150108202552 Steps to reproduce: A week ago or so, I turned on Match Case for searching when I hit ctrl-f to find something on a web page. This is on Firefox for Windows. (note that I'm running windows 7 professional N via bootcamp on a macbook pro and don't actually use Mac OS on this device) Actual results: Ever since I turned on Match Case, it is on in all new tabs and browser windows. Even if I turn it off, and close firefox, it is on when I relaunch and I have to keep unchecking it every time I search in a new window or tab. Expected results: When I uncheck Match Case it should be unchecked globally across all Firefox windows, and at the very least, if the last open window has it unchecked when I close it, firefox should recall that setting when the browser is relaunched.
WFM with FF35, Match Case is enabled per tab, if I switch to a different tab, it's off. Could you test in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode And with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Over a year with no response from the original reporter. I can reproduce this, just like Loic in comment 1. If you feel this issue was closed in error, please feel free to re-open.
