I am not sure if this is an expected design, but this behavior is okay for me. ni Tiffanie for UX opinion.

Nope, this is not the correct behaviour. I'm pretty sure is a regression as I don't recall this being an issue before...? Thanks Alison!

I tried with the latest 2.0 and 2.1 build, and found both of them have the same issue. [2.1] Gaia-Rev 85a8e878e73e2e068995213ab8c5226587667ba4 Gecko-Rev https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-b2g34_v2_1/rev/909c299c12fc Build-ID 20150209161202 Version 34.0 Device-Name flame FW-Release 4.4.2 FW-Incremental eng.cltbld.20150209.193842 FW-Date Mon Feb 9 19:38:53 EST 2015 Bootloader L1TC000118D0 [2.0] Gaia-Rev 2989f2b2bd12fcc0e9c017d2db766e76a55873b8 Gecko-Rev https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-b2g32_v2_0/rev/2ca6a9e7cb81 Build-ID 20150209160202 Version 32.0 Device-Name flame FW-Release 4.4.2 FW-Incremental eng.cltbld.20150209.193339 FW-Date Mon Feb 9 19:33:51 EST 2015 Bootloader L1TC000118D0 Thus, I think this issue is not a regression, and this behavior might be the first time to be raised. After retest on the latest 2.5 baselive the original problem is not reproducible, however there is a similar problem when the user is trying to adjust the volume during playing a media file. This problem has been resolved in scope of this PR and now the behavior is as follows: - Adjusting volume of Ringtones & Notifications now stops playing the background music - Adjusting media volume don`t stop playing background music and simply change the volume - If music is not playing (paused or stopped) adjusting media volume plays default tone and changes the volume
