Split off from bug 720050 to handle date elements that should not show dialogs. We don't check for diabled states at all on these. We should!

If nobody's working on this, I can take it up. I've got a build all ready to go. I see a chained list of commands that looks like new Prompt().addDatePicker().show(). I'm wondering if I should break the chained sequence and call addDatePicker only if the element is enabled.
