The lines above which landed 2014-10-24 from bug 1037643

And time frame for Firefox crashes is similar, starting 2014-10-25 [1] https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?signature=mozilla%3A%3Adom%3A%3AHTMLImageElement%3A%3AUnbindFromTree%28bool%2C+bool%29&product=Firefox&query_type=is_exactly&range_unit=weeks&process_type=any&hang_type=any&date=2014-10-26+21%3A00%3A00&range_value=4#tab-reports

So we can suspect bug 1037643

This hasn't landed to mozilla-central yet, only mozilla-inbound, so Nightly doesn't have the fix.

Thanks for updating this. Agreed, it is probably gone.

For future however, bear in mind that one must be careful judging short term results based on aurora and nightly crash-stats. Rates can be low even if it's a "topcrash". Plus we sometimes have build breakages (esp on nightly) so we lose continuity on builds. In this case 37.0a2 was averaging only 1 crash per day (some days having no crashes) and we have not quite a week of 37.0a2 data after patch landings because 37.0a2 ended 23-Feb due to merge. :)
