We should have a way to put an existing application in the "My Projects" section, so that it's easier to find even if we don't have a local project for this. For example, we could have a "pin" or "star" icon next to the play/reload icon. Or have a "pin this app..." in the "My Projects" section in the top left menu when an application is being debugged. Or both.
This is a cool idea, I like it! :) We're in the process of moving the project list to sidebar design (bug 1079347), so after that work would be a good time add this. Also, the project list should gain a filter / search bar, so that should help in a similar way.
Blocks: gaia-devtools, webide-ux
Depends on: 1079347
We intend to move remote debugging into about:debugging (bug 1212802) and then remove WebIDE (bug 1314811), so there are no plans to improve the WebIDE UX at this time.
