Short Description:
Discussion about Firefox Marketplace app reviews

Long Description:
Discussion about Firefox Marketplace app reviews

Justification / Special Instructions:

We have an existing list at app-reviewers@mozilla.org which is going to be deprecated in favour of this more open and searchable group.
Hi eviljeff,

Did you change from "app-reviewers" to "appreview" because the list is supposed to be open to more than just reviewers?

We already have a mozilla.webapps hierarchy; would mozilla.webapps.review make sense?

In a way - its supposed to for developers to query the reviews they've received, and for us to more generally talk to the community about app review. Its likely most of the participants will be still be reviewers, but we want to have a more inclusive channel. We used app-reviews@mozilla.org for a while (still have it, technically).

I thought that had been deprecated in favour of mozilla.dev.webapps - Caitlin proposed merging back in Jan 2014 but I guess that didn't happen (not sure exactly how groups get closed/merged/moved). mozilla.dev.webapps.review felt too wordy, and kinda inaccurate.

Lisa, thoughts on mozilla.webapps.review (webapps-review@lists.mozilla.org)?

OK, cool.

Yes, it seems that mozilla.webapps has gone silent. mozilla.webapps.pt-br still exists, but now I look, that's pretty dead too.

File a bug, like this one, although "merged" we can't really do. "Closed" is possible.

If mozilla.webapps is dying, let's not reinvest there. I'd be happy with mozilla.app-review.

Can we go ahead with mozilla.appreview then?

Is the '-' essential? We'd prefer without.
Not essential, although I feel it adds clarity. Removing.

Hi, I'm not seeing messages propagate to the newsgroup on nttp://news.mozilla.org (the google groups interface and the mailing list are working). Is this everything working okay?

I've emailed giganews, everything seems good on our side.

The messages that were previously missing have now appeared, but one sent earlier today - 9 hours ago - is yet to show up. I don't know if that's normal, but I expected them to propagate to the Google groups interface and the newsgroup at similar paces.
