In bug 1134284 comment 17, Monica asked for telemetry to record the proportion of ads that are getting redirected to shumway.
We should also collect telemetry for the number of Flash ads with and without VP6 video. Do we care about ads that use H.264 or Sorenson video?

Benjamin, would it be possible to adapt the telemetry probe you wrote for bug 1108668 to detect flv files instead? We'd really like to get data on this because we have to decide whether we have to support vp6 for 1.0 or not. Ideally it'd also record SWF dimensions so we can run an offline analysis on whether we think the SWF is an ad or not. We certainly would take a probe that doesn't do that, though.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Is it possible to measure something related to flv files? Sure, but you're going to need a much tighter problem statement.

We don't need to collect VP6 telemetry because we plan to support VP6 (using the Flash plugin as a polyfill).
