When the first edition is the creation of a new article, we get the following message:

Sharian changed Promise.all().

Diff is unavailable.

--
(…)

Change it to "This is the creation of a new article."
Also remove the "Compare" link in the list of possible action

It would make it more clearer to the reader.
Summary: Do not say "Diff available" when first edition is an article creating → Do not say "Diff unavailable" when first edition is an article creating

Agreed; indeed, I think I filed this too. I think text along the lines of:

<username> created <title>.

Then the links as outlined elsewhere, with the exception of leaving out the nonfunctional "compare" link.
Given that we just had someone create a spam page under a deceptive title ("Everybody loves Mozilla"), I'm in favor of including the source of a new page in the email, in the location where there would otherwise be a diff.
