I'm trying to import contacts into Nightly builds (39.0a1) and into Release builds (36.0.1), and its hanging with no error output.

STR:

1) Start up FF. Select Import
2) Enter OAuth details
3) Accept for Hello to manage contacts
4) Look at the panel

"Importing..." stays spinning permanently.

I've tried this with two different google accounts.

I also have hit this. I can be another test case.
FYI (another data point): Using new profiles, this works for me on 36.0.1 and Nightly on Win32.  (Note: I didn't enable gravatars on Nightly; I didn't answer the question).  Perhaps it's a specific contact?

Also, we should add a moztrap for this if we don't have one already.

Its working for me, but I'd like to know if Mike Conley is still having issues or not...

This still seems to fail for me. Again, is there any logging or instrumentation I can activate to help deduce what is occurring here? At the very least, is there a good place for me to put a breakpoint to see if I can catch an exception being thrown and eaten?
