We're finding SMS (and possibly email) is a better method for converting desktop users to mobile. Page - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/ The current flow takes a desktop user to the desktop version of Google Play. By using SMS (or email), we are sending a link to the users device where they can install within the mobile ecosystem. This is a nice to have for Firefox 38. We'll be implementing a similar delivery mechanism for Firefox for iOS. There would be several variations of the page. - US - would use SMS and Email options - Key International - Would use Email - Non-priority markets - No change to existing page

:leetom - let me know if you are okay to add this to the design in bug 1139715 (hopefully by Monday). If you are, I will tag this as a duplicate and update that bug. If you are not, we'll keep this open as post FF38.

Cory, I think this is dependent on the work that Ty will lead with for the iOS SMS widget. If we can get it working for our various use cases, I should be able to drop it into the Android page before next Tuesday

Or has that already been confirmed?
