We're finding SMS (and possibly email) is a better method for converting desktop users to mobile.

Page - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/

The current flow takes a desktop user to the desktop version of Google Play. By using SMS (or email), we are sending a link to the users device where they can install within the mobile ecosystem.

This is a nice to have for Firefox 38. We'll be implementing a similar delivery mechanism for Firefox for iOS.

There would be several variations of the page.
- US - would use SMS and Email options
- Key International - Would use Email
- Non-priority markets - No change to existing page
Hi Winston,

Let's meet tomorrow regarding this bug. I'll schedule some time.

Thanks
:leetom - let me know if you are okay to add this to the design in bug 1139715 (hopefully by Monday). If you are, I will tag this as a duplicate and update that bug. If you are not, we'll keep this open as post FF38.

Cory, I think this is dependent on the work that Ty will lead with for the iOS SMS widget. If we can get it working for our various use cases, I should be able to drop it into the Android page before next Tuesday

When will we know for sure if we can use just one field for both SMS and email? Or has that already been confirmed?

This is confirmed by Pmac by email today.
