Steps to reproduce:

Click on the page to focus it, and then press a global hotkey. Also try pressing global hotkeys in full screen mode. Attached fstest.html will log events to web console and provide a way to enter full screen. I tried this both with Audacious http://audacious-media-player.org/ Global Hotkeys plugin and hotkeys set up in KDE 4.14.1. I got the same results with Audacious running in KDE and with just the old window manager TWM. Same thing happens if I use media keys or ordinary keys. I tested with Firefox trunk and 36.0.1. This testing was in amd64 Ubuntu 14.10


Actual results:

Element window will receive a blur event when the global hotkey is pressed, and a focus event when the hotkey is released. In full screen mode, the deny/allow prompt will appear again when a hot key is released and the focus event happens.



Expected results:

Merely pressing a global hotkey should not cause blur and focus events to be sent. Of course a hotkey could cause another application to do something which should cause those events, but in the absence of anything like that, the events should not be happening.

Blur and focus events do not happen in response to hotkeys in Windows 7 SP1.
