Screenshot of issue on LG device
Have seen this on a few different devices - occasionally the app gets in a state where the text shows in the place of the avatar. At the moment, I don't have a consistent set of STR. The attached screenshot is from the LG device. See attached screenshot.

Another view from another device. Note that most of the screennames that are mine just have the default avatar, so nothing is pulling from gravatar.

We discussed this with Hermina and we're going to display the app icon in gray when an image fails to download. This is the hacky solution to get things done, we might reconsider how to do it properly.
