Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0
Build ID: 20150305021524

Steps to reproduce:

Yesterday morning 21/3 (Brisbane Aust time) firefox worked as normal then some time before noon I got messages saying it could not connect to the Internet. I checked other programs and they connected readily to the internet so my conclusion was perhaps a setting in Firefox. I couldn't find any that needed resetting so I restored to a point on 19/3 Brisbane Aust time and firefox came up.

Actual results:

Within a couple of hours firefox again identified as not connecting. After another restore and a search of Firefox issues I noticed that this update happened on 21/3. As a test I allowed the update to happen - from the firefox website - and upon completion it immediately resorted to the No Connection advice. I have since restored my computer again and changed to update option from auto to 'please advise'.
I am currently waiting to see what happens and considering reinstalling explorer as a back up plan.
Hi Michael,

I can not reproduce your issue. Can you please provide more steps to reproduce?

Also, can you please test this on the latest Firefox release (43.0.1) or latest Nightly (46.0a1, https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and tell me if this still reproduces for you ? When doing this please use a new fresh Firefox profile, maybe also in safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Sometimes this kind of issues could appear when using custom settings, themes or some addons.

Thanks,
Cosmin.
