Steps to reproduce:

Dear all,

I am running Thunderbird 31.5 on elementary OS Freya Beta 3 which is based on Ubuntu 14.04.

Whenever I click on a mailto link to open a new composing window, after sending of the message it launches the Mozilla Crash Reporter (see attached screenshot).

This happens if Thunderbird had not previously been opened. I think that composing a message from a mailto link without having Thunderbird opened should not result in a crash.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure that Thunderbird is closed
2. Make sure that Thunderbird is your default client to open mailto links
3. Click on a mailto link. A Thunderbird message compose window should open
4. Compose your message and click on send.
5. The compose window should successfully close
6. Now, on my system the Mozilla Crash Reporter shows up and asks me to report the crash. But nothing crashed. I just successfully composed a message.

Thanks for your help!

Dear all,

I am not sure whether the issue was related to elementary OS or Thunderbird. However, the problem disappeared with eOS 0.3 and Thunderbird 36.

Thanks for your help!
