User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0
Build ID: 20150320202338

Steps to reproduce:

Nothing, the update to version 36.0.4 was automatic. No manual changes were made to any settings. In addition, a Roboform toolbar was disabled after the update but could easily be activated again.

Actual results:

When I click a link in a tab, the new window replaces existing tab instead of opening a new tab

Expected results:

Until this version was installed, clicking a link in a tab would open a new tab. I verified the option setting: Open new windows in a new tab instead was still checked. I also verified the option setting: When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately was still checked. Holding CTRL and left clicking the link works correctly (Opens a new tab a switches to it)

Hi James. Can you provide the URL (i.e. address) of a page where this happens?

In the meantime you can try restarting with add-ons disabled (in Help menu) to see if any add-on is causing this.

Note that only some links are supposed to open in a new tab/window. "Normal" links are supposed to open in the same tab, replacing the previous content. If they open in a new window instead then something is wrong.
