114766 - Text edit cursor needs improvement to feel right in Windows

When editing text at any point in Mozilla, the vertical cursor is too thick (2
pixels instead of the Windows default 1), too tall (should only span the maximum
font height, not the full alloted spacing height), and is one pixel too far to
the left. While sounding trite, it's actually rather annoying visually and is
the only program I know that has a text cursor so far to the left of where it
should be that by default it's sitting on top of the rightmost pixels of the
last character typed. At the very least, please move the text cursor one more
pixel to the right! An elegant cursor (which shouldn't be hard to change) would
be (for me) the final step to making Mozilla feel fully modern and elegant.

Hmm, actually, when I compare the cursor in Mozilla with (for example) Windows
Notepad, they look pretty much the same height and thickness.  I don't know that
there's a "standard" cursor in that sense.  This is on Win98, BTW.

Okay, after some further analysis, it seems that in the URL bar the cursor 
seems to be proper (1 pixel) width, but still one pixel too far to the left. (A 
good example: when typing the '/' character, there should be one pixel of 
whitespace between the cursor and the rightmost pixel of the '/'.) When editing 
text, such as in a TEXTAREA, the cursor balloons to two pixels in width and is 
even overlapping with the previous characters a full two pixels atimes. The 
cursor in textareas should only be one pixel thick and one more pixel to the 
right. Opening up a page with a TEXTAREA and putting it side-by-side with IE, I 
see that the cursor in mozilla extends one pixel too high as well (there should 
be a one-pixel separation between the cursor and the TEXTAREA's border).

I'm not trying to be anal here; I'd just like Mozilla to feel sleek and clean.
